Our Story
Vietnam Travels began with a simple frustration: too many visitors were seeing a version of Vietnam filtered through crowded buses and identical itineraries. Our founders, who grew up between Hanoi's Old Quarter and the rice terraces of the north, set out to build trips around the country they actually knew - back roads, family-run kitchens and villages that rarely make it onto a standard tour map.
What started as custom trips for friends and family grew into a full tour operation covering all 63 provinces of Vietnam. Today, every itinerary we publish has been walked, driven or cruised by someone on our team before it is offered to travelers, and every guide we work with is based in the region they show you, not flown in for the season.
We remain a small, focused company by choice. That means every booking gets real attention, from the first enquiry to the moment you land back home.
Our Philosophy
We believe the best travel memories rarely happen on a tight schedule. That's why our itineraries are built with breathing room - time to linger at a floating market, join a cooking class that runs long, or simply watch the sun set over Ha Long Bay without being rushed back to the bus.
Every tour is customizable. If you tell us you'd rather trade a museum stop for an extra hour in Hoi An's tailor shops, we make it happen. Our guides are trained to read the group and adjust pace accordingly, rather than following a rigid script.
We also take responsible tourism seriously: we work with family-run guesthouses and homestays wherever possible, keep group sizes small to reduce impact on local communities, and brief every traveler on respectful cultural etiquette before departure.
